Aluminum turned parts, machined and anodized to your drawing
CNC turned aluminum parts from our Dongguan factory, from Ø0.5 mm. Trial runs from 200 pcs, production runs from 2,000 pcs.
- Grades: 2024, 5052, 6061, 6063 and 7075, with 6061 and 7075 the ones we machine most
- Thin walls: 0.254 ± 0.025 mm on a 8,000-piece order
- Standard, black and hard anodizing through outside finishing suppliers
- Formal quotation within one working day of a complete PDF drawing

GRADES
Which aluminum grade to specify
6061 is the grade we machine most, followed by 7075. The notes below are the general properties of each alloy, not a promise for your application; your designer decides the grade.
- 6061 (≈ EN AW-6061): the general-purpose heat-treatable alloy. Good strength, good corrosion resistance and an even finish after anodizing.
- 7075 (≈ EN AW-7075): a zinc alloy with much higher strength than 6061, used where the part carries load. Lower corrosion resistance, so it is usually anodized.
- 6063 (≈ EN AW-6063): lower strength than 6061 but higher electrical conductivity and a smooth anodized surface.
- 2024 (≈ EN AW-2024): a copper alloy with high strength and fatigue resistance, but the weakest corrosion resistance of these grades.
- 5052 (≈ EN AW-5052): a magnesium alloy that is not heat-treatable, with very good corrosion resistance.
Name the grade and temper on your drawing, for example 6061-T6. We can supply the material certificate with your parts.

Thin-walled 6063-T5 rings with hard anodizing, 8,000 pcs
A thin-walled flanged ring in 6063-T5, with the material specified for electrical conductivity above 42%. The drawing and end use stay private; these are the requirements we worked to:
- Wall thickness 0.254 ± 0.025 mm
- Outer diameter Ø22.428 ± 0.025 mm, bore Ø19.46 +0.01/−0.02 mm, coaxiality 0.025 mm
- Edge radius 0.025 mm max, no burrs
- Hard anodizing, undyed, 0.025–0.038 mm thick
A thin wall like this can distort in the chuck, and the anodized coating changes the finished size. We hold both through the fixturing and programming: how the part is clamped and how each cut is sequenced. Hard anodizing is done by a long-term partner that knows our requirements.

ANODIZING
Anodized aluminum parts: three published orders
All anodizing is done by outside finishing suppliers. We choose and test the supplier, and we check the parts before they ship. State the anodizing type, color and thickness on your drawing.
- Standard anodizing, 15 µm, on 6061-T6 sleeves with no visible scratches allowed: after supplier trials, cosmetic rejects fell to 3% with the chosen supplier. Read the case
- Black matte anodizing to the customer's color sample on 6061-T6 optical rings, 200,000 pcs a month. Read the case
- Undyed hard anodizing, 0.025–0.038 mm, on the thin-walled 6063-T5 rings above.
QUALITY
How aluminum parts are checked
Every order starts with a first-article check of every dimension on the drawing. During the run, each critical feature has its own gauge and frequency. On the 6063-T5 rings:
- Bore and flange diameters: plug gauges, 1 in every 5 pcs
- Wall thickness: wall-thickness micrometer, 1 in every 10 pcs
- Outer diameter: micrometer, 1 in every 10 pcs
- Slot width: pin gauges, 1 in every 10 pcs
- Appearance: visual check, 1 in every 5 pcs
