QUANTITY / UNIT PRICE

How CNC turned part prices change with batch size

≈25%

lower unit price at 2,000 pcs than at 200 pcs

Same drawing, material and finish · typical, varies by part

Setup share per part

Relative to one fixed setup at 200 pcs.

  2. 40%500 pcs
  3. 20%1,000 pcs
  4. 10%2,000 pcs

What else sets your unit price

  • Material and bar size

Material grade and stock diameter affect material use and cost.

  • Cycle time per part

The machining time needed for each part contributes to its cost.

  • Tolerances and inspection

Tighter requirements can add machining and inspection work.

  • Outside finishing (anodizing, plating)

The specified finish adds supplier processing and handling costs.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Questions about production orders

What is the typical lead time?

Typical lead time is 15–20 days. Large batches or outside finishing can take longer; your quotation states the date for your order. Production across all workshops is scheduled by our Production Supervisor, Ming Chen.

When will I hear back?

We reply to every inquiry within 24 hours on working days (China time). This is the first reply to your inquiry. With a complete PDF drawing and the quantity, the formal quotation follows within one working day. Weekends are excluded.

How should I list several part numbers?

List each separately, with its own drawing revision and quantities. Keep the material, finish, inspection and packaging scope clear for every part.

What is the overall manufacturing range?

Ø0.5–200 mm (0.02–7.87 in) outside diameter and up to 300 mm (11.81 in) long across the factory. Feasibility depends on the complete drawing.

Can I compare quantities for the same drawing?

Yes. Request the quantity breaks shown above against one drawing revision. Keep material, finish, inspection and packaging the same, and compare total order value as well as unit price.

How much does unit price drop at higher quantities?

Typically about 25% lower at 2,000 pcs than at 200 pcs for the same drawing, material and finish. Material, cycle time and finishing decide the exact difference; your quotation shows each price.

Which tolerances apply?

Tolerances on your drawing apply as drawn. For untoleranced dimensions we follow the general tolerance standard stated on the drawing; if none is stated, we work to ISO 2768-mK.
