GRADES
Brass grades we machine
- C3604: free-cutting leaded brass to the Japanese JIS standard.
- C36000: free-cutting brass we machine for connector inserts and fittings.
- H59 (≈ CuZn40) and H62 (≈ CuZn37): Chinese standard brasses.
- C11000: copper, where conductivity matters.
Tell us the exact grade and standard on your drawing. We can supply the material certificate with your parts.
If your application limits lead content, state the limit on the drawing so we can confirm a suitable grade before quoting.

Brass parts we make
Connector inserts and fittings, sleeves, brackets and other turned brass parts, made on Swiss-type and mill-turn machines.

HIGH-VOLUME BRASS
Why brass suits Swiss-type and high-volume turning
Free-cutting brass machines quickly and breaks its chips cleanly, so cycle time is set by the part's features rather than the material. On long runs, that is where we look for seconds:
- Thin-walled C36000 sleeves, 50,000 pcs a month: 6 → 3.5 minutes per part, about 2,080 machine hours saved every month. Read the case
- C3604 brackets with a Ø1.2 mm deep hole, 10,000 pcs in 30 days: 3.5 → 3 minutes, about 83 machine hours over the order. Read the case
TOLERANCES, FINISHES AND STOCK
Tolerances, finishes and bar stock
Tolerances
±0.01 mm held as standard on brass parts. ±0.005 mm on a single outer-diameter feature of a stable part that does not deform, not on combined features. The tolerances on your drawing always govern.
Finishes
We have supplied brass parts with heat treatment, gold plating, silver plating and passivation. State the finish and any thickness on the drawing.
Bar stock
We keep common brass bar sizes in stock: Ø2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mm.
QUALITY
How brass parts are checked
- First-article check of every dimension on the drawing, for every order.
- Each critical dimension has its own gauge and check frequency. On the brass sleeves, operators check the bores with plug gauges on 1 in every 5 pcs.
- Reject rates on the two published brass orders: below 0.3% and about 0.5%.
