Our batch focus is Ø1–100 mm (0.04–3.94 in) parts in runs of around 2,000 pieces.
Why is unit price lower at 2,000 pcs than at 200?One setup is shared by ten times as many parts, so each carries 1/10 of it.
This is setup arithmetic, not an actual unit-price ratio; material and cycle time per part do not fall in the same way.
